there should be a pin on the top that slips into a small hole that will reattach your door.
Hi Alexander, If your hinge is an older style, it probably has a top hinge that will move up and down. It may be as easy as depressing the hinge, align over the hole in the upper frame and letting the hinge pop up into the hole at the top of the frame.
If you have a different type of hinge, let us know and we'll be happy to help!
Good luck!
Usually the pegs are on a spring. You push the peg down, slide it near the hole, let the peg loose, and gently guide it to the hole and let the spring action force the peg into the hole.
If the peg is not spring-action, you follow the same steps, but it takes a lot more balancing. I once put soap on the peg and brass bar it needed to attach to.
If you don’t have pegs but loose screws to deal with, it’s a matter of getting the screws in straight, using a little wood glue or Liquid Nails if the screws have made their holes too large, and and making sure the swivel hole is intact. Use Waterproof Gorilla Glue if the plastic has broken, but you may need some strong clamps to hold the plastic in place until it sets. Best wishes ☺️
If it does have screws and it is stripped, take the old screw to the hardware store and buy some machine screws one size larger diameter-wize (machine screws are blunt on the end). Then screw in and it will be nice and tight.
