solar lights
target sells these small rope lights, they might be what you are looking for, about$10 to12 dollars
Get an umbrella that has lighting inside. Then use torches. The ones below have a glass cover so you can set them close to the fence. Also, I'd water down some grey paint and paint the fence a dark grey. Good luck.

I would go on amazon and get a few solar lights.. I’d this a fe years ago, and put them up along the fence line of our property. Very pretty!
Buy a few lantern's that are solar, and at night you'll have light. The fence is yours, so hang them with hooks
That's a great idea thanks so much I'll let you know how it turns out!!
Hi, Molly. I would go with solar lights as well as some string lights. You can also use candles in jars or old vases. If you live where mosquitoes are a problem, I would also suggest using citronella candles. Everything I've read suggests a mixture of different types of lights. I would look at end of season sales for citronella candles (dollar stores, Walmart, etc.) and solar lights. Even the very cheap solar lights go on sale. In addition, the batteries can be replaced and cells can be renewed with nail polish.
Start out with the best you can afford, then watch for sales and collect more as time passes. It won't seem so expensive that way!
