ROCK the cash box!..... Sorry..... It was too good of a set up to resist. These are great for money management during a garage sale. Or a sewing case.
Hello Momrcr, This box is probably inflammable. I would put important documents in it. Birth certificates, insurance policies, wills, health records, diplomas, etc. will all be safe inside this box. Best of luck to you.
You could cover it with contact paper. There are many types available for any body's taste. Then gift it or use it as a jewelry box.
decoupage!
I have one that belonged to my Dad. I think I’d like to paint it bright red and use it for first aid supplies.
Thanks! that's a great idea!
My son uses one for his coin collection.
Line it in velvet add dividers and make a "silverware" box for your picnic utensils. It can be left outside, paint it maybe do handle and lock in hammered paint or black put your family monogram on it and you don't have to run in and out for outdoor dining.
I would use it as a sewing box. Apply spray glue on the outside to apply a sheer fabric to cover it. Use the trays on the inside for sewing notions, like pins, needles, buttons, etc. Use the section underneath for scissors, tape measure, etc.
I would also put any good jewelry in it. There are just so many things to save in case of a disaster. I am going to start to make a to go bag & box.....
