Fairly simple. Decide on the type (metal or PVC) and length. Cut. Put the end caps on. Drill a few drainage holes and pre-drill holes for your screws. For security, use a good grade outdoor screw (that won't rust) and a washer on the inside of each gutter as you hang it. Some potting soil and there you go!
Excellent description, Jan Clark. I would add that, if you are going to paint the gutter planters, you use Rustoleum for plastic or Rustoleum for metal. With a couple of coats of this, the gutters should last for years. ☺️
