What are the best annuals and perennials to grow in shade and clay

I would like to add low growing perennials in my front lawn in area that gets no sun.

    My favorite is hostages .they come back each year and multiple .there are a lot of different colors to choose from . So easy to grow ..

    I've had luck with hellebore (Lenten rose) , bleeding heart, sweet williams, and ferns. Not sure where you live so I'm not sure these plants would work in your specific area.

    Lily of the Valley, Coral Bells and hostas are a good choice.
