From your picture, it seems like it needs some deep cleaning, perhaps scrubbing it with a stiff bristle brush? If it is old and in bad shape, though, replacing it may be your best bet. Here, I share how I replaced mine with porcelain tile.

After awhile laminate dulls. Give it a good cleaning with vinegar and water and use Holloway House laminate shine. It will look so much better.

Oh I so agree with the old liquid waxes. The newer products have come a long way from what used to be applied to floors that yellowed and had to be stripped.

Clean and maybe add floor sticky backed tiles or Paint or just stipple in some more colour and then seal...…...

Years ago we had a floor in same condition in a camper here is what I used. ammonia and water to get the floor clean. Then I lightly sanded the floor, rinse to make sure you have up all dust. Then use kilts (primer) on the floor, I used two coats. The have fun. Paint the floor the color you love, I even stenciled on the floor. After you are happy with your design you need to put two coats of poly on the floor. It really held up and cheaper then new, and looks like new.

My dad has vinyl linoleum that is over 35yrs old. He didn't want to replace it. My sister and I used a vinyl floor stripper (sorry don't remember the brand - got it at an Ace Hardware store). It was amazing how it improved the look. It is like it is brand new! See the difference in the photo.

use Vinyl stick on, (if you are on a budget) for the mean time, which you can get at Home Depot, they have different types, so cheap, like .62 cents or more, defends on your type, but clean the whole area well, let it dry, then start doing the vinyl by removing the back paper and stick it on the floor, I suggest you start in the center, alternately, then going backwards, so it is easier to cut the extra (I use a cutter) on the sides and it won’t be noticeable. I have mine for 4 years now.
