  • These weed killers will get rid of the quackgrass, but will also kill any plants the quack grass is growing near. If a bed becomes badly infested with quackgrass, you may need to replant the bed. Start by removing any plants you wish to keep. Check the soil carefully for any traces of quackgrass roots and remove if found. Next, you will be killing the quackgrass in the bed. Treat the bed with a non-selective weed killer, like Round-up or boiling water. Wait one week and treat the bed again.

Hey, thanks for the question! I just discovered a new resource. It's called GetRidOfThings.com. That's the good news-for me-the bad news is for you: it's one of the worst weeds to deal with. SORRY!!! Here's the website:

The best idea seemed to be a garden fork and gentle pulling. You need to get the roots (rhizomes) with as little breakage as possible. Consider it a cheaper workout than the gym.

Now, excuse me, I've got some research to do on that site. Do you suppose ex-husband is one word, or two, or hyphenated?😈
