What is the best way to create an economical, path/sidewalk?

I would love to have a curved, brick path or sidewalk leading to my front steps. I don’t have a lot of money but my front yard is a very tiny city yard. I’m wondering how to create a path that fits the size of my yard and doesn’t look out of place and doesn’t cost a lot of money. I’d like to do the entire project myself.

If you live in a big city it might be difficult to find old bricks, but in my area, they are pretty common. I found all the bricks in this area which is about 10' X 16'

Wow Emily! I’m so jealous of your brick patio and I want that tiny building for my back yard. It is wonderful. Not sure what the source for your bricks was but I am now going to go on a hunt and see if I can find some in my city. Your yard/garden looks so amazing. Thank you so much for responding!

Oh yes, I have seen the molds that create concrete pavers. I‘m not sure about working with cement. I think that would require more physical labor than I am capable of on my own. But I think I will look into possibly creating a few pavers and setting some decorative glass pieces in them to use in and around my flower beds. Thank you for responding to my question. New idea for me to try as a ”just for fun” project.

  • Most big box home improvement centers sell "used" bricks and are more expensive than new bricks, at least in my area. Look on Craigslist list, freecycle.org, Nextdoor.com, habitat re stores for deals or free items. This may be what you are looking for:

Oh, Leann that was a playhouse for my now 26 year old granddaughter. Got a good deal on it at a yard sale. And the bricks were better a/c they were free!
