how were they planted?
If they are in the shade, they will recover, maybe with some minor leaf damage. Do not let hubby water . . . 😍 They mean well but do not always get it right.
Hello there, just let them dry out a bit and then re-settle them. Don't worry they should be fine..........
Give them some time to dry out and recover. Keep hurricane hubby off watering duty.
They are pretty tough plants. Just don't water them at all for a few days. Actually, I never water mine and I live
in Alabama. They will perk back up after they get over shock.
They should come back on their own. Just have patients. You should really cut the broken ones off so they can concentrate on making new leaves. The broken ones won't get better. I use the 3 d's on all of my plants.... if the leaf is dead, diseased or damaged take it off. I have two different kinds of Hosta and the 3 d's work great on them. But yes, let them dry out for a while first. They'll forgive him.
Hi Reg,
Like the others said, they will dry out and perk back up. Where I live they get frozen over and die in the winter, but they come back every spring. Also know that in time, you can split your hostas to make more plants if you want to put them in other places. I do mine in the spring when they first come up. I started with one hosta piece which was given to me by a neighbor. Within a few years, I had 15-20 of them all around my home, plus now I have a few in pots, as well. They also die down in the winter, but come back every spring. Don't worry, your hostas will be fine. :) Wishing you the best.
Cut back and they will regrow
Thanks!
