Down here in this part of the South we have what is the American beauty bush. The leaves look similar to that. In the late summer and early fall it is filled with bright purplish berries.

ae does Why don't you take a small branch of it to the garden center in your area and ask them? That is what I do when I don't know what I have or am buying.. Good Luck. I live in Texas and it does look like a weed that grows here. Bea
It is a butterfly bush.
So many answers!! If you have a Master Gardener organization or a county extension office where you live, they might be able to identify it. A reputable garden center would probably recognize it too.
There is a plant identifier app if you have a smart phone or pad. Just take picture and it will tell you all about it.
