My pans are stacked in my lower cabinetry.
To protect edges and interior coatings I cut up a thick yoga mat to make rounds to pad my stacked pans.
The teflon coated frypans and my enameled cast iron are protected by thrse foam circles. Alternatively you could use some rug gripper plastic mesh or the rubberized shelf cover.
