A common problem. Do you have any closets that have matching hardwood that you could use? That is what I did in my mom's house. I "stole" hardwood out of the closet floors then just placed a different type of flooring in the closets. That way the public spaces all matched. See if this helps.

If you have chunk of your hardwood floor, find an architectural recycler or try Habitat for Humanity Restore and see if you can locate some flooring like yours in both species of wood and width and thickness. This will make matching it much easier.... then you can even have a good paint store custom mix a stain to match.
