Transforming an ordinary egg carton into stunning floral wall art is a creative and eco-friendly way to repurpose waste materials. With just a few simple steps, you can breathe new life into an item that would typically end up in the trash. Let me show you how I turned trash into treasure!

Cutting up the egg carton

1. Cut up the egg carton

I started by cutting up the carton and separating it into squares (the part where the egg sits is a square).

Cutting the egg carton with strong scissors

Tip: Egg cartons can be a bit tough to cut, so make sure you have strong scissors.

Painting and gluing the egg carton flowers

2. Paint the egg cartons

I cut the flowers in different sizes, so I could layer them. Then, I painted the flowers with regular acrylic paint and used hot glue to assemble them.

I made five flowers, each one with 3 layers and some loose "petals" coming out of the center.

Painted canvas

3. Paint the canvas

I had an old canvas and I didn't really like the art on it, so I painted over it. Two or three 3 layers of paint should do the job.

Use hot glue to attach the flowers to the canvas, then add a few brush strokes of green for the stems.

Did you draw the green stems? Looks really very nice!

Could you make these to look like Poinsettias for a Christmas decoration? I ask because my mom's birthday is coming up soon and she loves to decorate for Christmas. I think it would be soo appreciated by her if I made her a Christmas decoration instead of giving her something store-bought.

What brand paint did you use?
