Upcycling a Vintage Kitchen Hutch With Chalk Paint

I fell in love with this piece and knew it would be perfect in my studio to hold my Autentico Chalk Paints. It was in such good shape it really only needed a refresh...
I started by painting the backing of the shelves in French Gray and then updated the rest of the unit in Casa Blanca, straight over the existing gloss enamel paint.
After painting the backing and the frame, I brushed on a coat of Clear Wax to seal and protect the finish.
I tackled the inside of the drawer by removing the old, dated drawer lining and replacing it with gorgeous craft paper, using Mod Podge
After cleaning the leftover glue off with eucalyptus oil, I selected coordinating patterns of craft paper, then cut and Mod Podged the paper in and painted the drawer sides with Thunder Sky.
Lastly, i matched up the new door paint with the laminate countertop.Autenti
The best match was beautiful Summer Sky!
Last step was reassembling!
And now complete. Finished the drawer fronts with a bit of White Wax and kept all the original hardware. Isn't she gorgeous?
