To weed and feed?

I am a widow and not able to care for my large back yard. It is mostly grass and full of weeds (dandelions mostly). IAre weed and feed solutions helpful? I have someone mow and weedeat, but it's impossible to do anything but mow. Any suggestions?

Yes. Weed & feed attaches to your hose and is very effective!
Weed and feed will be very helpful. But do not apply it in the hot summer sun and high temperature weather. It would be better to wait until early fall when it's cooler and then reseed in the early spring.
I use Spectracide Weed and Feed in the hose end sprayer. Attaches to your hose. No measuring, mixing, or mess. Kills the weeds and feeds the lawn. Home Depot, Lowes, or Menard's.
I was wrong about when to apply Weed and Feed. I found this for you on the Scotts Lawn Products website. I guess I need to change when I apply it!!
Apply when weeds are actively growing and daytime temperatures are between 60°F and 90°F. In the northern US, weeds are most active April-September. In the southern US, weeds are most active March-September. If you have recently applied another fertilizer (e.g. Scotts® Turf Builder® Lawn Food or Scotts® Turf Builder® Halts® Crabgrass Preventer with Lawn Food) wait at least 30 days to apply Scotts® Turf Builder® Weed & Feed.
You could just enjoy the dandelions and not put dangerous herbicides on your grass. :) If you have pets they absorb anything you put on your lawn through their paws (or if you have grandkids running barefoot) and it's absorbed into their bloodstream, very quickly.
