Hi Sue. I found this link to Country Living hope you can get some ideas for your home

Farmhouse decor usually includes soft colors of blue and yellow. Wide plank flooring is often used. Look for napkins or tea towels that could be used for curtains. Chicken wire also has a place in a farmhouse look. Sometimes people remove the middle section of cabinet doors and replace it with chicken wire. And, of course, antique kitchen gadgets are used in the decor. Wishing you all the best.
First - get some chickens... Visit pinterest for ideas. Just adding cheery colors and 'farmhouse' accessories can go a long way. Add new curtains and 'country' fabrics.
Hello Sue,
Old Cooking Pots and Chickens and artificial Vines etc. Gingham Drapes and Pelmet/Valance and Cafe curtains. Baskets - Veg on show. Egg basket.
Rustic items ............ Have fun.
Photo please need to know how much space you have, do you have empty space above cabinets? If you do put one large cute metal or wood sign, or large letters you can get at Michaels,or other craft stores, that spell out EAT, OR FARM HOUSE.... painted mason jars,to hold flowers or herbs...,use vintage kitchen utensils to decorate a wall, galvanized metal tray to hold those mason jars... have fun, take your time to build it up, and check out antique shops for just that right item, but also go to Ross, TJMaxx ...for new “ farm decor”
