Get a contractor, because he will need to cut into your foundation
HI Dorothy, Would you have a photo of the space that you would like to put the door? Is there a wall adjacent to the steps? Is there a frame of some sort? If you could describe it a bit more then I am sure one of the helpers would have some ideas. It also depends on what you might like - regular door, sliding door, pocket door, etc. and then we could see if that might be an option.
Good luck!
Hello Dorothy,
Do you have a picture of the bottom of your stairs so I can make a suitable suggestion?
Hello Dorothy,
Maybe you could just install a door frame and door- pre-hung?
