Try the new Roundup that doesn 't kill grass.
Don't get rid of them. They are a little treasure, even mixed with a perfect lawn.
I have violets as well. I pull them up roots and all. In my front flower bed, I pull them up, put down thick layers of newspaper and mulch. I know you can't do that in your grass, but your best bet is to get them roots up.
