Hi Evelyn, If it's the ones with a trouser bar, You could hang things on for the birds, or make a mobile by tieing 2 or more together or make a rope ladder just the coat style. by unscrewing the hooks or cutting them off. and drilling holes in the outer sides and Use Strong String /Cord or Rope and thread through and knot each side (Leave Hook on 1st. hanger so you can hang it up. Use to hold scarves, Ties, Belts Towels etc.......... Have fun
You can make christmas trees out of them. A fun craft to do with kids. All you need are 3 to make a tree. Add some mini lights, and different types of garland for different types of trees. There was a post on Hometalk for hanger christmas trees. You can search up for step by step directions.
If you live in a city where there is a university, take them to where the residences are and put a 'free' sign on the box. As dorm rooms are notoriously short of hangers, cash-strapped students will put them to good use.
I think this was a good one - as art!
You're welcome.
The Christmas tree craft looks fun, but it is made with wire hangers.
The original question was asking about plastic hangers.
Hi Evalyn, hope this helps you out.
