How do you repair the damage caused by carpenter bees and woodpeckers?
The logs on our cabin have not only the precise holes of carpenter bees but large craters due to the woodpeckers that eat them. We have the home sprayed to keep them away but need to fix the damage.

Caulking and/or wood putty in all the holes.
Have to cut out damage or replace log cause once the damagr is done you can't undo it. I would use the traps versus spraying all season long.... prevent the damage.... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3RHtEOQj4yo&t=45s my client has these hangin on her porch and under the soffits.

Dab it’s flexible wood putty that’s paintable maybe fix from inside to put wood over hole then fill hole from outside with the putty.
Also woodpeckers don’t like shiny things I hang old CDs from trees on a string so they move it keep them off my property. Or hang windchimes on a nail near the rooftop that’s what I did
You can also fill the big holes with Bondo, plaster, or a paste made of equal parts of plaster, mud, and straw or animal hair. Dries hard as rock in about three days. ☺️
