I recently purchased baboon flower mixture bulbs, freesia mixture bulbs and wildflower bulbs. Are these to be planted in fall or spring?

It really helps. I stumbled over one at my local dollar store.
Depends where you live, most people plant them in the fall but I always plant in early spring and they grow beautiful, unless the squirrels dig them out like this spring, so I spread some mothballs in the garden they don’t like that. 😀 good luck T
Char, what does the package say? I’m not familiar with baboon bulbs. But generally, you would plant these right after the first frost. If you have snow or sleet coming, cover your flowerbed with mulch or straw and tow sacks (burlap) until the first thaw. Otherwise, unless you bought something delicate, they should do fine without more cover than four inches of soil. Best wishes ☺️
I think you have listed " fall planting perenials". Truthfully, I think you need to simply plant them BEFORE the ground is frozen. And, don't expect any activity/ growth till next spring. The only bulbs that I've grown that bloomed the same year on a spring-summer timeline is gladiolus. I did notince that the squirrels or something ATE my lily bulbs and some of the Glads right after they were planted. SO MARK YOUR spots as well as you can, so you will be able to tell. Often times the bulbs from the grower were fine, but they unfortunately made a fine snack, before they had a chance to grow!
