Rabbits are eating my bell pepper plants
I have planted yellow, orange, and red bell peppers. The rabbits are eating them. Any suggestions about how to stop this?
Some times when bell peppers do not bear fruit, it is because they are missing out on calcium. Like tomatoes, peppers like calcium. You can get it as a bone meal at the nursery OR puree egg shells (not just crush them). I put them in a food processor or blender and really grind them up small until they are like powder, then add water and pour them on the tomatoes and peppers.
Did they flower? Maybe not enough pollination for the peppers to grow
I have put match heads in hole before planting .Also a mixture of Epsom salts and water does wonders .@ table spons in in a gallon of water sprayed on when flowers form .
They may need bone meal (or we puree egg shells to powder) for calcium. Also, we add 2 Tbs of Epsom salts in a gallon of water for them too.
