How to get rid of poison ivy?
I have poison ivy and sumac all over & just can’t seem to get rid of it! I spray weed killer & put vinegar & boiling water & all kinds of ‘home/natural remedies’. It goes away for a bit and then... boom.. it’s back! HELP!!!

Hire a landscaper for the job and save yourself all that grief, not to mention the rash! Some jobs are best not a DIY. Both plants can be extremely dangerous!
Do NOT burn it. I know of a person who did that and breathed in little particles that were in the air. BAD situation.
We use Round Up. It’s excellent!! We buy it at Lowe’s usually. I know you can buy it online too though. Hope this helps! -M
Get Roundup that is for vines!
Dissolve one cup salt in a gallon of water and add a tablespoon of dish soap to create a solution that can be sprayed on poison ivy

Hello Lillian, hope this helps you. Try cutting the vine about 6" above where it comes out of the ground. Put some full strength white vinegar on both of the cut ends by dipping them into a cup full of white vinegar. Do this all along the length of the vines. Repeat if necessary. by doing it this way, you are only killing the ivy.
