How to move wall light without fixing drywall?

I need to move a light over the bathroom sink over a few inches since I replaced the vanity with a larger one. I don’t want to patch the drywall. Anyone have Ideas?

Won't you need to install another box so that you have something to attach the light to? You could use the drywall that you cut out for the new box to do the repair.
I have the same problem.
I have been thinking of doing a shiplap look wall behind the light so I can make all the necessary cuts and not have to repair drywall....just cover it with the wood.
Would a small ceiling medallion help? Here is a plain one from home depot.
