Yes you can use anything that would fit amd stand the weight you want to put on it! Just measure and cut. Don't forget to round off the edges for safety by sanding down.
Make sure you consider the thickness of the glass and get a similar board, Leah. Also be careful of the finish - or make sure people use coasters. Plywood can swell
when wet. :)
Leah, I agree with FrugalFamilyTimes about the plywood swelling. It would be better to use something else, possibly slats glued together, sheet metal, sheet plastic, plexiglass, etc. If you do use plywood be sure to seal it good.
