Does anyone know how to make a cat tower/play area using pvc pipes?
Someone told me they saw a cat tower made using pvc pipes but I can’t find anything? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It is kind of like Lincoln Logs. You build the tower in any shape or size suitable to you. Then I would make fabric or fur covers for each level or add whatever toys you think would be attractive to your cat(s). For the covers, think of a square with the corners scooped out. If you make the "shelves" with removable corners, or you make the fabric close with Velcro, you could remove the "beds" to wash or clean. I would start with a square on bottom using 4 pieces of straight pipe, three elbows, and one 3-hole piece (this piece would be angled on bottom with a hole pointing up in the middle sort of an angled tee) or use two shorter pieces for the third piece with a "tee" in the middle for the side. I would rotate this extension side to distribute the weight. I would also attach it to some sort of heavier base in order to help hold the whole thing. plastic pipe is lightweight and would easily be tipped over. From the Tee, use a piece of straight pipe topped with a "junction". This piece has a hole for pipe on all four sides. For a sturdier but a bit more costly tree, use the juntions in two corners instead of one...hope this helps or gives you ideas!

Each length of pvc is capped, using glue. These caps provide a surface for screwing into a wooden base (usually covered in carpet). Wooden carpeted platforms are screwed onto the other ends. Additional lengths of pvc can be added for height. The pvc is wrapped with rope that is glued on.
