These are cute, plates you already have, or thrift store, Dollar Store plates and candle sticks
Cupcake tower.1 place one large plate face up one glass turn glass upside down and glue to plate making sure it's in the middle. 2 : place another median plate on top of glass and glue it. 3 : place a small glass upsidedown glue 4: place small plate glue in place. There you have your cupcake tower you can use mismatche plates or the same kind. Or you can go yo Dollar Store and get them.
Any craft or hobby store (or on line), will have pre cut cake rounds or squares just for this purpose. Or you can make your own out of sturdy cardboard. Here are some visuals for you. Fun to decorate too.

Use plates and candle holders from the dollar store to build tiers with 3 sizes of plates (biggest on bottom, middle size in middle etc). You would need 3 plates of 3 sizes and 2 candlestick holders. You could spray paint the candlesticks and use E6000 glue or clear Gorilla glue. If you like, use your own 3 dishes from an incomplete china set and spray paint the candle sticks to match the base color of the plates.
Cupcake towers are so fun to make. Start with 3 plates from the dollar store or second hand shop. They need to be 3 sizes; large (like a large dinner plate), medium (such as a pie plate), small (like a cup saucer). You can get 3 from similar pattern or paint them yourself; also, you will need 2 candle stick holders from dollar store. If they are clear and you want color, you can cover/paint with tinted glue for sea glass effect or fingernail polish for marble effect. Use E6000 glue or something similar to glue the candlesticks and plates with the largest plate on bottom, candle stick, medium plate, candle stick, smallest plate. You can use glass, OR metallic plates for more glamour. I have a clear set of dishes and they would be perfect size for cupcake tower. I have extra so I may make one soon.
