I added peat moss and garden soil to mine and it seems to work for most plants.
Leaf mold and coconut coir
Till in or dig in topsoil, compost, and peat moss into it.
Carmen, you can start by spreading a 2-inch-thick layer of organic matter, such as composted leaf mold, sphagnum peat moss, aged manure or composted pine bark over the area that you want to plant. Work the organic matter into the top 6 inches of soil to make the soil rich and easy to work. Good luck!
Use raised gardens and potted plants while you are waiting. ☺️
