How must I remove Popcorn ceiling ?
Need to remove popcorn ceiling but I'm on a budget. What tools and spray must I use? I know it's inside but does the weather matter? I was told it does.
Thank you

Want to hide fan wire in concrete ceiling and attach it behind shitrock to electric outlet. Any tips on how to remove a popcorn ceiling?
All you need to remove popcorn is a spray bottle with water and a metal spackling/drywall spatula, some newspaper on the floor, a vacuum or shop vac, a broom and a dustpan. I don't think the weather will matter if you are working inside a home and the temps are above 40 degrees! How to Remove Popcorn Ceilings
Remove as much furniture as you can. Cover the rest and the floor. Cover your hair and wear safety glasses and a breathing mask. Then put water in a spray bottle and spray well a section at a time. When softened, it will scrape right off. Messy, but easy.Keep your scraper flat, so you do not gouge ceiling.
Hi Gk, I did mine using a spray bottle, good scraper and a cookie sheet.
I sprayed a section twice giving time in between. Then I would scrape it and let it fall into the cookie sheet. In unison, so to speak. It really is pretty easy.
Its going to sort of rain dust for a few days unless you are ready to paint straight away. I found that if I painted while still damp, that dust literally stopped immediately! Here are a few other examples;

i did not cover my floor or tape anything off as I did not let the popcorn hit the floor. Also, weather outside does not matter.
IMPORTANT: you will have a slight texture left on your ceiling. Leave it that way. Do not scrape down to the drywall. Scrape shallow and evenly!!!
Good luck!
