How to make a 3 dimension hand print?

What is it you are trying to do? All hand prints are 2D. Are you wanting a mold of your hand.

While I find the 3-D drawing to be interesting I have to ask has anyone tried this with the object (the hand) in one group of colors or shades and the background in contrasting colors or shades? Likewise has anyone done this in a topographic drawing where the hand would be viewable as an elevation or depression in the sheet and as an optical illusion be governed by what the viewer sees and could switch back and forth?
