I like that solution.
A house we had a long time ago had a back door that was suppose to go out to the back patio. But the patio was full of wood rot, so the tore it down. Needless to say the first step out the door was now a long way down. We laid concrete bricks down do make steps. First layer of 4 bricks, 3 bricks on top and then 2 bricks. Got us right to the door height.
