How can I update my fence?
All my neighbors have shrubs and vines that come through my fence and have caused it to deteriorate. The bottom edges are jagged as they work their way underneath the boards as well as the dogs who dug away some of the soil. The pain in my hands and back makes it difficult to keep their vines and branches trimmed. What can I do to give my fence an update and maybe close my side of the fence off a little? I would like to avoid having to spend the money for an entire new fence for as long as possible.

Add a border of bricks or cinder blocks along the fence line. You can try spraying the encroaching plants with vinegar. But that needs to be reapplied periodically and after every rain event as vinegar is water soluable.
Not about fixing the fence, but maybe talk to your neighbors and offer to pay a teenager in your neighborhood to weed and do some maintenance on your neighbor's side of the fence. Hope this helps. Hugs, Holly
Might I suggest, "if you can't beat them Join them" Add a hedge of mixed flowering shrubs! or Chicken wire, or Trellis etc.
I agree with Holly to have someone clear the area. Take it one step farther and use this product. Kills the soil so nothing will grow on it for up to a year,
