I’m a really big fan of rescuing objects, because I don’t believe in throwing things away that still have use in them. Sometimes though you get something and think, “that’s the end of this”, like this rusty pan. But then I found this great tip to remove rust from metal using coke and tinfoil.

Adding trim whether it be rough-cut cedar (like most of the trim in this cabin) or crisp painted white trim.... it all adds to a space. Not only does it hide imperfections with your flooring/wall seams but it also adds charm whether that be rustic or chic.
Hi everyone ! It was time to make a new ceiling lamp in the dining room. I saw some georgeous black metal baskets that are used as a candle holder or a modern fruit basket. But I immediately knew it would be a new lamp. It is so easy to make. You need a drill bit for metal, a vintage looking ,ready to use ceiling rose set and a led filament bulb.I had 2 projects.I recycled my old ceiling lamp for one project and just replaced the wires and for the other project I used a vintage ceiling rose in copper.

She was so surprised when I told her it was my new carpet freshener. It definitely covered up the pet smells. Here’s the recipe:

My mother used these copper-bottomed pots for year and years and gave me some when I left for college. They are pretty great pans and I love using them, but over time the bottom gets tarnished and dirty looking. Thankfully, my mother also taught me how to get them clean and bright looking again! I've since learned of two more ways to get them clean too. We'll start with my mother's method first.
