I would like to know how to get rid those pesty little sink/drain flies. I've tried baking soda and vinegar, drain cleaners and put plastic over the drains.
You can use a solution of 1 cup water, 1 cup cider vinegar and 2 tsp dishwashing liquid...combine all the ingredients and place an ounce of it in a glass, then place near your fruit. The aroma will attract the gnats and they will get trapped by the soap. Keep the remaining liquid in a sealed jar until you need to change out the liquid in your glass cut. Hope this helps.
It takes a little while please be patient just put a little bowl of vinegar they fly around it they smell eventually they fall in and get trapped… My husband had pears in the garage from a pear tree I’ll put out about three bowls it is trapping them right now
They live in the drains. Use Simple green every day for a week in EVERY drain to rid the home. Then repeat once a week for maintenance. They come in on produce and even packages from our shopping. They will not spread and multiply by using the non-toxic Simple green in the drains. Do not flush it down. Just spray it several times in every sink, shower, drain of any sort and leave it each day.
Put apple cider vinegar in a disposable cup, it really works.
I use apple cider vinegar, a few drops of clear dish soap and a little bit of sugar in a small glass. Cover with plastic wrap and poke a few holes in the top.
Sharon, I have had those gnats come from plants in my house. I changed the soil in the pots and got rid of the gnats.
I bought a dehumidifier and the gnats disappeared!
