Transform a bed??
I have a Dreams bed 4ft 6ins and it has four drawers white malware and a base on top . Then it has a mattress which I have replaced and then found the base has springs (cross springs intertwined in the wood) I WOULD like to get a new bed. But I would like to use the drawers and the wood under base to make a piece maybe a book case. Could any one give me a design how to build /make this. Thank you Olive

Hi Olive. Start with the sizes of wood you have available to you. If this piece is covered with white melamine it is possible that it is not wood at all but MDF - manufactured dense fiberboard. If it is fiberboard, you will need to use bolts and locks to secure a bookcase since bookcases need to hold weight. Do some fact finding a your local hardware store and ask to speak with one of the professionals at the contractor's desk. They can help you out on your new DIY! Good luck!
There are so many things you can make out of drawers! I made a book case with two bottom drawers out of mine, These links will help you.
