Mother of pearl tiles?

If anyone has used them, are they pliable so as to go around curved surfaces and where might be the best place to find them the cheapest.

Hi there, after a few searches in google it actually looks like you may be able to score a great deal on Ebay. After that Amazon holds mother of pearl tiles as well depending on the size you're looking for.

  • What is your project?

Choosing building materials is not something I personally choose to purchase on line unless I have used the supplier before and know the quality of their stock.

Your best bet is to flip through the yellow pages or Google to find all tile suppliers in your area, then take the time to visit them and chat up the sales staff. Prices vary greatly by size and quality. Are you looking for a "net" based tile or larger individual tiles?

If you choose to chance it, and order on line, read their return policy carefully. Is return shipping free? Do they charge a restocking fee?

  • they are similar to glass so I would not expect them to be pliable, unless they are small tiles on a net type backing, then maybe you use them on slight curves.

I bought mine from Wayfair. From the estimates I received, they are a very difficult tile due to being thin. It was also a more expensive job, than if I used a thicker tile. I won't do it again. Also, they are not pliable because they will break.
