How can I make my "fruitless" plum tree really fruitless?
The tree is lovely except for the mess of smashed plums all over the sidewalk for a good month. It has a bountiful harvest and then some!

Move the tree or sidewalk !
Hi Judy, Cut it down and pull it upis the only way, or you could be a good neighbour and offer your neighbours a pick your own experience, or make lots of pies or fruit jam etc. or offer to a food bank or charity................
Sounds like you got the wrong tree. Move it or cut it down.
Pick up downed fruit daily. I would be jumping for joy, but that's me. Offer fruit to friends, neighbors, local food bank, don't let all that good fruit go to waste.
Either move the tree, give it away and replace with a true fruitless variety.
