How do I remove mealybugs from my jade plant?
I have unfortunately not been able to vent my conservatory due to damage done to roof lights (stuck) and no time to try to fix them. As a consequence I have mealybugs on my Jade/Money plant, I was wondering what other use to cure an outbreak, besides nail varnish remover on a cotton bud! If I could use a spray that would be great!

Malathion
Mealy bugs succumb to water, about a quart, with a tablespoon of vegetable oil and about a teaspoon of liquid dish detergent, or you can purchase Neem Oil. It's great for lots of things and not poisonous to you or pets, etc.
Wet them down and throw ehite flour on them. Wash off the flour with 1 part vinegar, a few drops of dish soap and 4 parts water in a sprayer.
Should have written 1 teaspoon of oil.
Rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle, and tissues or paper towels on the dirt below to catch the bugs. You still have to watch the plants carefully. If the bugs are on the plant long enough to lay eggs, and you let those eggs grow to maturity, you are letting the short term take over the long term. And you sound as if you care more than that. Best wishes on a healthy jade plant, John. ☺️
