How can i plant spider plant?

Which zone is the best to plant spider plant. My green ficus plant leaf has change from green to brown, what may be the cause?.

Spider plants normally are used as hanging plants, but I found an article on using them as a ground cover that you may find useful. There also are many articles on the page you can look at if you have problems with the plant.

Hi, your tree may be root bound which prevents it from taking up enough water/Nutrients. Try replanting it with the proper amount of pebbles in the bottom along with mixing your dirt with a good mix of gritty soil (sand,fine bark etc.) To allow for root growth and proper aeration. Also, trim up the roots a bit before transplanting(this will force the tree to make new roots) Caution, (it will take a few waterings to wet the new mixture) so don't over water, as it will go everywhere. I had one of these Ficus Trees, planted in ground it thrived grew to be about 7 foot tall!
You can root a spider plant in water or soil.
spider plant is usually grown inside the house unless you're in a warmer climate like California or Florida. It is a air cleaner plant and doesn't need a lot of water.
first of all that is not a spider plant and second, what you have is a ficus tree. You have to get transplanting directions for each separate plant which you just might find them on You Tube. Good luck.
Spider plants are easy to transplant. Notice the long stems hanging with a baby spider plant? Just cut of the baby and you can see the roots so just push that part a little in the potting soil. I planted a few off my big plant and started it that way.
You can also take those "baby plants" and put them in water to grow the roots more, then simply place them in potting soil in a hanging basket. They also can be planted outside, but may not make it thru the winter.
