Bev Hi, Pet furniture can be purchased in a pet store. Petco or PetSmart. Aloha!
Chewy.com - there are many on line retailers as well as big box and independent retailers.
Check your local craigslist, they post them under pets, also have seen a lot at Salvation Army, just a little cleaning and they look like new.
I have a cat tree— brand name Armarkat. Not expensive and very sturdy and looks like expensive brands. I bought mine on Petco website. Also, Armarkat has its own website where you can view all of their products. Www.armarkat.com
I highly recommend!
I operate a cat rescue group, so it's really important to get very sturdy cat tree/scratching posts/trees, where a large number of cats can also hang out. The shipping is free at www.chewy.com and a tree with an extra large base that can be used by cats of all sizes (including large and heavy ones) is important so it doesn't ever topple over. This is the one we got, and even the sisal on the posts, although being used all the time, is still intact - it's by far the best one we have, and will eventually replace the others. See this one: https://www.chewy.com/frisco-72-in-cat-tree-large-base/dp/129324 . When the sisal gets scratched up and starts to unwind, I buy rope, cover the posts with duct tape (sticky side out) and start winding new rope around them, finally attaching with a staple. Very good prices!
I just wanted to add something: When getting scratch posts/trees, don't get any where posts are covered with carpet - it doesn't differ from your sofa edges and sends a wrong message to cats that it's OK to scratch carpets and sofas. Sisal twine covered ones are great, but one does have to replace the ropes once in a while, although with just bne cat or two, probably not for many, many years! The best ones are wood - very hard to get lately. Good luck with finding what you want!
