Move my windows up and down?
I am having trouble moving my windows up or down. They were new in 1998, and a breeze to use. I loved it. How can I get them to budge. They are not metal they are white ? Like pvc? Not sure but I pulled my back out trying to get them to move. Help! CK

Chances are they are dirty and need to be cleaned and lubricated. See if any of these apply to your type of window.

If these do not apply to you, let us know and we will try something else!
Spray silicon lubricant (3M makes some) in the slider tracks. It works miracles.
Spray some WD40 in the tracks.
I was going to suggest WD40 on the tracks as well.
Rub paraffin on the tracks. An old candle works really well!
Perhaps your house is settling and you have a larger issue. May need to have a contractor look at your foundation. Hope that is not the case. However hurting your back to get a Vinyl window open, seems extreme and would leave me to believe there is a bigger issues. That is why I mention this. But first try the wax. I prefer it over WD40, only if you have a window that is adjustable in it's open position. WD40 or other silicone may prevent it from being in more than one position, because it will become too fluid and not stop until fully open. However the parafin (also used for sticky zippers) will work to smooth out the stickyness. Good luck!
