Hello, I used to manage a bar and we would get the drain flies from the beer on tap. I used Hot Shot No Pest Strips and it worked like a charm. It was the only thing that I found that actually worked.
remove any source of food if possible. use a small vacuum to catch them. they may be breeding in the damp earth of potted plants.
i have used a few squirts of liquid bleach spray into drain, from a dollar store spray bottle. spray into 'over flow' outlets as well [ i use same bleach on concrete steps and patio stone/sidewalk stains].
I keep my drains closed after flushing with bleach.
Make sure you keep your drains wet. They breed on the dried GOOP in your drain. Run water regularly. Don't leave food around if you have drain flies...it's a fly buffet. To capture, put a homemade if paper in the neck if a jar and put apple cider vinegar in the bottle. They LOVE vinegar. They can get into the jar but not out through the narrowed of the cone. It takes time.
Pour boiling water down the drain a couple of times a week.
