How to clean very hard to remove labels on glass jars?
Hi any ideas on removing difficult to remove labels on glass jars that is quicker than soaking for ages and then still having to scrape them off. Thanks very one for your help.

It depends on the type of adhesive, some you can heat up with a hairdryer or heat gun and pull them off. The ones that leave most of the paper behind. WD40 is a good idea. Putting them in hot water and scraping off the label with a butter knife is another option.
You really don't have to soak them that long. Use really hot water , soak for 5 minutes. Then use a plastic pot scraper or butter knife to scrape of the label, if there is anything left re soak in hot soapy water for another 5 minutes. Any sticky stuff should come right off.
Or you can skip the soak and try baby oil , wd 40 , or goo gone , just know these make your bottles slippery , I still prefer the short soak method.
I find oil breaks down the adhesive very well. I usually use WD40 or goo-off. I have never tried cooking oil but imagine it would work the same way.
