  • If you have a large expanse of it, cut it down to ground level, douse it in vinegar, then cover with newspaper, cardboard or black plastic. No sun = no grow. In the spring dig out all the dead bits.

    If the main stems of the plant are fairly large and you have some Epson salts, you can use a strong solution of it on the cut portions of the plant.

    Make sure you get every bit of root. This stuff is very tenacious and roots can exceed 5' or more. Wear gloves, as some people are highly sensitive to handling any parts of plant.

    I have been using Epsom Salts on my grass because the Magnesium helps it grow dramatically...don't know about killing plants!!

    If you are talkin' Poison Ivy??? ......."Forgit a- bout it!!" Poison Ivy lives and never dies.....It lives summer and winter in cold weather........it survives!!!! If you find a killer let me know........please??????????

    This is just the thing! I find this works wonderfully. You have to cut down the weed and then brush this on the top of where you cut it. Bonide
