That is a great question! I would say, take your time, go slow, and almost anything can be fixed.
It’s okay to mess up! DIY projects can be hard, but it’s okay to mess up :) this takes the pressure off!

I am with Chad and Alexis. My pearls of wisdom: learn how to Google and search on You Tube. You can find anything onthe internet and if you can Google, read, follow instructions, you can do anything. Practice makes perfect, so expect to mess up - and learn from your mistakes.
Measure twice, Cut once.
Don't worry about perfection. Just try something. It helps to get the ball rolling.
