You could do it with cable wire clips, but IMO if you're trying to get the cable to the other side of the room, it would look better to have the cable company come move it. Wishing you the best.
Hi Jacque, You can secure the cable to the edge of the door frame with - Cable clips (very cheap) or cover it with Cable cover trunking also very reasonable to buy from DIY's or electrical stores. Hope that helps..........
Where is it originating, and where is it going?
What type of cable is it, and what is the size or thickness?
Do you have an unfinished basement? If so it might be an easier route for the wire.
