How and when to move plants?

Hi everyone. I live is southern Ontario and am wondering if it is to late in the season to move bushes around?

    I push limits all the time, if you haven't had a freeze yet and temperatures are still above 50 you should be okay.

  • As long as there hasn't been a hard freeze where the ground is totally frozen you are good

    You're probably okay to move/transplant them now in your area. Better now than in the hot, hot summer. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Go for it! Just be sure to keep as much soil around the roots as possible when moving and planting.

    HI Deborah,

    I'm Linda and I live just south of you in the Buffalo NY area. I'm thinking that it might be better to wait until spring. Some plants will do well, but some might not. We're into November now and the weather here today is near freezing. I'd want the plants to have time to reestablish their root system. Of course, it's up to you. Some plants will do fine. Wishing you the best.

      Thanks Linda. I tend to agree with you with the way the weather has turned. lol. Bloody cold today and I believe you are getting snow!
