I would hang with 3m hooks LED lights, just like the ones you use for decorating for Christmas, all around the top part. They are really bright and should provide plenty of light. I keep LED lights around my french doors and windows all year long. I love the look!

Get the led lights with the silver thin wire. You will hardly notice it. I order mine off Amazon. I wrap them around a 1/2" dowel and it gives them a curling effect.

Really cool room. Can you small track lighting to the beams? Go to your lighting store and get a consultation with their lighting architect.

White LED rope lights are lights embedded inside what appears as a plasticised "rope". Some are 18' or more in length, and quite capable of casting a good deal of light. You can purchase them at home stores, better harware stores, etc.

In addition, have you installed higher lumen (1600 or more) LED lightbulbs in your floor lamps; changed the shades to light color fabric interior, changed shades to ones with larger top opening, found floor lamps that hold 3 or more bulbs, etc.?
