How to Get Wax Off a Tablecloth: 3 Steps (with Pictures) - wikiHow
Try ice cubes against the wax. He fact that the cloth is crocheted may make this job very difficult/tedious.
I’ve heard about the ice method. I’ll give it a try. Thank you!
Put it in the freezer. Then it will just crack and fall off. Then you will need to wash in cold and see if the red dye came out. If it didn't, let us know and we will find a way to get it out. Whatever you do, do not place in dryer or wash in hot water as it will set the stain.
I would not use ice as that would be laborious and time consuming. Rather I would pour boiling water over the wax. Put the table cloth waxed covered areas in a colander and pour boiling water over them. The other day I had candle wax stuck in an iron flower holder (it has small "nails") I put it in a pan with water on the stove and boiled it. Wax came out of flower holder and hardened on top of water and I set that aside to use another time.
Have used the paper sack, iron/heat technique myself on an old doily my great grandmother made. It worked great!
Thank you all! Hits really thick and I am having a hard time. I’m not giving up, I just need more time.
