I have a pair of burlap curtains that have a snag or loose thread. Any suggestions to keep it from getting worse. Clear polish? Hot glue??
fold them up and you an do a small whip stitch at the bottom to hold it up
Hello! I used sticky back Velcro. Worked like a charm! Even standing up to playful cats.
Cheers!
Camacho great question.
If you sew, cut it off to the length you want and hem them. If you don’t see there is iron on tape so you can cut the length you want and hem
them with sticking the edges under to the tape. It’s as easy as ironing.
I hope that helps your question about how to hem the curtain.
I would measure the correct lenght and add an extra 2 cm for the hem. Cut them to size and sew with a sewing machine. If you dont have a sewing machine you can buy iron on hemming tape.
Could you raise your curtain rod?
You can fold them and use fusing tape you iron on.
Don't want to cut....you can fold them to the height you want and sew a whip stitch. Iron on seam tape will hold the fold up.
Whatever you decide to do, if these drapes have never been cleaned/washed I'd do that before shortening them. They could shrink and white drapes tend to periodically require actual cleaning vs just a quick vacuuming or fluff in the clothes dryer, at least in my house!
You could fold them up to where you want them and staple them(if you don't know how to sew)
